In cooperation with organizations such as "Fire Fighters Save Our Kids", "Phoenix Fire Pal", "Safe Kids" and the local fire departments "Urban Survival" programs, A RACE TO EDUCATE is a program that is designed to increase awareness of childhood injury prevention and home safety. Our campaign hopes to make a positive and lasting impression on our young children who are so vulnerable to the dangers of childhood. It is proven that prevention education works, so it is our goal to reinforce the lessons that children are taught in school and through exposure to the various programs available in our community. The "RACE TO EDUCATE" race car is an IMCA modified race car that competes here in the Valley at Canyon Raceway in Peoria and Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix. Our program is new this year and we will be racing selected races in the 2005 season. Due to our commitment to education, we will be appearing at numerous static displays throughout the year and therefore not able to attend all race dates. Please check this web page for our upcoming scheduled events, race dates and pictures from previous events. Please take the time to talk to your children and family members about the importance of safety in our community. Prevention is everyone's job and with your help, hopefully we can have an impact. Seat belts, children's car seats, bicycle helmets and adult supervision are just some of the issues that you can discuss. This program is made possible by private sponsors, donations and the hard work of many people. Without this type of support, A RACE TO EDUCATE would still be a dream. We welcome any additional support and would be glad to discuss the benefits of becoming involved. For further information please contact: T2 Racing |
